The fine print

Terms of use.

The terms that govern your use of our website, programs, and student portal — including what tuition costs, when it's due, and what is and isn't refundable.

Last updated: August 4, 2026

Acceptance

By using aseptictechnicalsolutions.com, enrolling in a program, or accessing the student portal, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

When you enroll you also sign a Student Terms & Conditions agreement in your student portal, which covers your specific program in more detail. If anything here conflicts with the agreement you signed, the signed agreement governs your enrollment.

Our programs

ATS provides sterile processing certification preparation and internship placement assistance. We are an independent training provider and are not affiliated with HSPA or any certifying body. Earning a certification (such as the CRCST) requires passing the applicable exam administered by the certifying organization; we do not guarantee certification, exam results, employment, or specific outcomes. A certificate of completion from ATS is not a certification.

After class, full certification and employment require a 400-hour externship. We assist with placement but do not guarantee it. Placement depends on your eligibility, a tuition account paid in full, our partners' current capacity, and each facility's own requirements — commonly a background check, drug screen, immunization and TB records, and health clearance, all at your own expense. The facility decides who it accepts and may end a placement for its own reasons; we cannot override that decision. While on site you are a student, not an employee of ATS or of the facility.

Tuition & payment

Current tuition is $2,500 for the in-person course and $1,850 for the live virtual course.

For the cohort programs, a $500 deposit reserves your seat. The deposit is not a first installment — the remaining balance ($2,000 in-person, $1,350 virtual) is due in full 12 weeks after an in-person class starts and 10 weeks after a virtual class starts.

To make the balance easier to plan for we suggest $325 every 2 weeks (in-person) or about $250 every 2 weeks (virtual). Those are suggestions, not a required schedule. Missing one of those suggested payments is fine — what matters is that the balance clears by the due date, and that date doesn't move. If meeting it is going to be a problem, tell your instructor early: ATS wants to know who's falling behind and may be able to help, but the balance is still owed by the same date.

Payments are processed by Square; we never receive or store your full card number. Any discount is applied case by case at our discretion and doesn't create an entitlement to the same discount later. If a payment is returned, reversed, or charged back, the amount remains owed and the account is past due until it's resolved.

If a balance falls behind

While a balance is past due, we may restrict access until the account is current. For in-person students, lab access and ATS Discord access can be restricted, and receiving new assignments is at risk, until the balance is current. For virtual students, access to the live Zoom class and the online student dashboard can be paused until it's current. Access is restored when the account is brought current, and a restriction never cancels what is owed.

An unpaid balance also holds the two things at the end of the program: ATS does not issue a certificate of completion and does not refer a student for externship placement while a balance is outstanding. Both are released once the account is paid in full.

Refunds

Tuition payments and deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable once paid. This applies whether you withdraw, stop attending, are removed from the course, or never begin. Deposits cannot be transferred to a different cohort or to another person.

The one exception: if ATS cancels a class outright and does not offer you a seat in a replacement class, we refund what you paid toward that class. A temporary change of format — for example, in-person sessions moving online because of weather or another event outside our control — is not a cancellation and does not change your tuition or entitle you to a refund or price adjustment.

If you're unsure whether a program is right for you, call us before you pay. We would rather answer your questions first than take a deposit you regret.

Attendance, conduct & removal

You're expected to attend and participate in the sessions your program includes, complete assigned work, and conduct yourself professionally toward instructors, classmates, clinical staff, and patients. Quizzes, progress tests, and the final exam must be your own work.

We may remove a student for cause — repeated absence, failure to complete required work, conduct that disrupts the class, conduct that puts patients, staff, or classmates at risk, or a balance unpaid past its due date. Except where safety requires immediate removal, we tell you what the problem is and give you a chance to correct it first. A student removed for cause is not entitled to a refund and remains responsible for any unpaid balance.

Your account & acceptable use

Portal accounts are for the enrolled student only. You're responsible for keeping your login secure, for what happens under it, and for giving us accurate enrollment information. You agree not to share your login, record or redistribute course materials, attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to our systems, or use the site for any unlawful purpose. Course content and materials are our intellectual property and may not be reproduced without permission.

We may suspend or close an account for a breach of these terms. Some course material is licensed from third parties — including the HSPA Central Service Technical Manual and our online course platform — and is subject to their terms as well as ours.

Communications

If you give us your phone number, we may text you about your enrollment, class schedule, and account, and — where you asked to hear from us — about programs and start dates. Message and data rates may apply, message frequency varies, and consenting to marketing texts is never a condition of enrolling. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Marketing emails carry an unsubscribe link. We'll still send messages about an active enrollment and account.

Our website chat assistant is automated. Conversations are stored and reviewed so we can improve its answers, and nothing it says changes these terms, your signed agreement, or a price. If it tells you something that contradicts this page, this page is right — please call us.

Classes, labs, and events are sometimes photographed or recorded, and virtual sessions may be recorded, for use in our advertising and educational materials. Tell your instructor if you'd rather not appear and we'll accommodate it.

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

Our services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ATS is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or programs.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of them will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time; the "last updated" date above shows when. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms. Changes here do not alter the enrollment agreement you already signed — that document is versioned, and your signature stays attached to the version you signed.

Privacy

How we collect, use, and share your information is described in our Privacy Policy, including how long we keep student records and how to ask for a copy or deletion.
