If you hold a CRCST, HSPA requires 12 continuing-education (CE) credits every year to renew — plus 6 more per year for each additional HSPA certification you hold. Your renewal is due by the last day of your certification's anniversary month, so it pays to track credits through the year.

You don't have to pay for CEs. Between free webinar libraries, podcasts, and documented in-service hours at work, most techs can cover the full requirement at no cost.
Set a calendar reminder for the month before your anniversary, keep your certificates in one folder, and report your credits through your HSPA account. Done early, recert is a non-event.
